With its Vertical Flow light installation, Nicolight transforms the Art Deco Hotel Montana building with precise, vertical lighting.
Luminous dots suspended from the edge of the roof mark the lines of the façade and emphasize the height and structure of the building. The vertically arranged points of light contrast with the moving LED light that flows across the façade, giving the building a dynamic depth. The superimposition of pointillist and flowing light creates an exciting relationship between order and movement.
The work makes the vertical structure of the architecture visible and temporarily transforms the building into a light-based sculpture in the urban space. Light does not function as a decorative element, but as a means of spatially interpreting and activating the facade.
